In
1967, after 18 months of rigorous testing by NASA, the Fisher Space Pen
was provided to the Astronauts because it was the only pen that would
write over fingerprints, under water, upside down, on Unlike
ordinary ball pens which rely on gravity to feed ink, the Space Pen's
replaceable cartridge is continuously fed to the tungsten carbide ball,
allowing the user to write at any angle, even upside down. The solid gel
thixotropic ink allows the pen to write smoothly and dependably. Unconditionally guaranteed to provide outstanding service both here on Earth and in Space, Fisher Space Pens are truly engineered for better writing.
Conceived
in July 1948, the Fisher Bullet Pen's timeless styling still proves to
be very popular. Finishes available include shiny chrome, brushed chrome
and matt black.
The
slim, look and feel of Fisher's Shuttle Retractable has been used aboard
NASA's Space Shutle the Russian MIR. These all metal, retractable pens
use a side button mechanism and come gift boxed. For
