So, this is what happens when designers are given free reign and an unlimited supply of caffeine! While, the Ion's futuristic looks make this pen stand out, it is also very pleasing to the hand. The soft touch, triangulated grip and the smooth upper section make it easy and comfortable to write with. It's perfect to keep in a pocket or handbag thanks to it's handy size and the fact it doesn't need a cap. The pen comes with an easy on, easy off, "quick - clip" attachment which can be used with a keyring or lanyard.

Gel pens are becoming increasingly popular and the Ion is a fine example. Each pen comes suplied with one nucleus black gel ink cartridge. The ink cartridge is visible in the middle of the pen and you can clearly see how much ink is left. Each refill will write for 600-700 meters. Refills are available in black, blue, green, orange, purple and red.  

The Cross Ion has an easy one-hand open/close movement.
